QUALIFICATION OBJECTIVES

The bjective of the OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Environmental and Sustainability Management is designed to enhance students’ comprehension of modern sustainability issues, environmental management, and the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in both policy, theory, and practical application.

OTHM offers a pathway for advancement with various UK universities that recognizes the competencies of students who have completed Level 3-7 qualifications, allowing them to be considered for higher-level courses such as degree years, top-up and Master’s/top-up programs.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

These credentials are tailored for students who are generally aged 21 and older.

The profile for students applying is expected to include at least one of the following elements:

  • A pertinent Level 6 qualification. Typically, this is an Honours degree (or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution).
  • Proof of relevant professional background. Applicants should possess a minimum of three years of professional experience in their area of interest (students are advised to verify the required experience with the program’s delivery center before enrolling)

Consultancy

The OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Environmental and Sustainability Management course requires 4 compulsory units and 5 elective units (with students completing a total of 6 units), earning 120 credits. The total time required to complete this qualification is 1200 hours. The suggested Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for this course is a minimum of 600 hours.

EQUIVALENCES

The OTHM Level 7 diplomas, which are part of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), are equivalent in difficulty to master’s degrees. Nonetheless, these diplomas are condensed, requiring only 120 credits. To complete a full master’s degree, students must advance to the dissertation stage, which also demands 60 credits.
