OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
Overview
The OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is designed to equip individuals with or aspiring to advance into senior positions within an organization for overseeing health and safety policies and procedures. Participants will acquire the necessary abilities and understanding of the legal and regulatory framework, as well as occupational health and safety policies, to evaluate and suggest modifications to existing policies. Participants will also learn about the practical application of policies, including the use of management systems, resources, risk and incident management, leadership and management, and skills development.
Progression
Finishing the Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety course equips students with the necessary knowledge, comprehension, and abilities to pursue expertise in various Occupational Health and Safety positions. OTHM is in the process of seeking approval for this qualification to align with IOSH standards, which would allow all certified students to achieve IOSH Graduate membership. Since this qualification is recognized and overseen by Ofqual, (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), students can directly apply to relevant Master’s degree programs.
